This week has been full of amazing progress at Josh Kastleman Drum Lessons! Six students recently completed new songs and recorded their performances right in the drum studio. From classic rock and grunge to pop-punk and cinematic tracks, these students continue to show dedication, creativity, and solid technique.
🥁 Milo – Free Fallin’ by Tom Petty
Milo recently wrapped up “Free Fallin’”, one of Tom Petty’s most beloved songs from the 1989 album Full Moon Fever. The original drummer on the track was Phil Jones, whose laid-back style and tasteful grooves added just the right amount of rhythm without overpowering the song. 🥁 Ryker – Come As You Are by Nirvana
Ryker took on the grunge classic “Come As You Are” from Nirvana’s landmark album Nevermind. 🥁 Sage – Buddy Holly by Weezer

🥁 Camden – 99 Red Balloons (Goldfinger Version)
Camden went full punk with his version of “99 Red Balloons” as covered by Goldfinger. Originally a German pop song by Nena, this high-energy version was driven by Darrin Pfeiffer’s aggressive drumming.
